About St Wilfrid's Centre

Our Mission Statement

We commit ourselves to creating a caring community based on Christian values where homeless and vulnerable people can find understanding, practical assistance, a sense of belonging and the support to regain their self esteem.

In providing welfare and educational opportunities, we hope to help people overcome barriers of social exclusion and provide them with the opportunity to improve their quality of life.

St. Wilfrid’s is a day centre open to all homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded adults aged between 18 and 65 years old.

We are open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm.

We have a skilled staff team that offer basic Welfare services as well as Personal Development activities to promote wellbeing and independence.

We accept both formal referrals and self-referrals. Please contact our Welfare Team for information.

If you are interested in attending the Centre, check out our activities schedule to see what you might like to get involved in.

Who are our clients?

Most of our clients attend St. Wilfrid’s because they are socially isolated and want to get out of the house, participate in the activities and increase their confidence and self esteem.

St. Wilfrid’s welcomes clients with mental health issues, clients with learning disabilities, those recovering from addictions or those that are finding it difficult to cope generally and are socially excluded.

St. Wilfrid’s also provides basic welfare for people who are homeless and can support them to access the appropriate services.

Please note that St Wilfrid's Centre is a converted building so there are stairs within the building. Please contact the Welfare Team for more information.
