Fundraising
Like all charities, St Wilfrid's must raise the money to pay for the services it offers and for staff salaries. Fundraising is therefore an essential component of life at the Centre.
St Wilfrid's is supported by a number of charitable trusts. In seeking Trust support, a request usually has to be for a specific purpose (eg. a salary). Occasionally charitable donations are not 'ring fenced' in this way and income can be used for unspecified schemes.
We are always humbled by the many donations of money which are unsolicited and given because the donor wants to support the work of the Centre. This valuable source of income is used to cover the cost of the many incidental activities, purchases or services that go towards the high quality of support we give our clients.
We have an Individual Giving Scheme: Gift aided donations made through the scheme by taxpayers can be enhanced by a 25% tax refund from HM Revenue & Customs.
