'Our Marjorie'

Clients, Staff and Volunteers will be attending the funeral of former Lord Mayor and great friend of the Centre, Marjorie Barker, to pay tribute to her wonderful devotion to the Centre.
Marjorie often told us that St Wilfrid's was her favourite place. She loved being with the clients as much as they loved seeing her. On her last visit to the the Centre in November 2009 we presented Marjorie with a special award - a 'Best Friend of St Wilfrid's Centre' framed certificate which demonstrated how much we appreciated her support.
Kevin Bradley, Director of the Centre, paid tribute to a very special lady " 'Our Marjorie' was an inspiration to us all, she was a champion for the Centre and a friend to everyone here. She will be greatly missed."
