It's not just cricket!

St Wilfrid's Cricket and Rounders Day was held on Lowfield Green on Friday 18 June and all involved had a wonderful time.
The Cricket match was, as usual, between the 'Owls' and the 'Blades'. The teams were made up of clients from the Centre new and old.
The match was a thriller with the Blades batting first. Robert from Poland, who had never played cricket before, took the team to a magnificent total, however the 'Owls' won the match by a whisker and six wickets.
Following a delicious barbecue prepared by our one and only Pamela and kitchen volunteers, we spent the afternoon playing Rounders.
At times the excitement was unbearable with the match finishing dramatically, hinging on the last player in. The Queens Road Runners were run out for a great total of 68 points but the Shoreham Street Sharks pipped them to the post with 69 points.
Players and staff were exhausted but happy at the end of the day.
