October 11 - Day 143 (142.5) There's something in the way she moos

I know I’ve pictured the highland cows before but I couldn’t help but stop this morning when they were near to the road to take some more photos. I think I just sympathise with that ‘just got out of bed’ hair and the slightly rounded body looks that makes them look like they quite enjoy life (and food). I can certainly relate to the difficulty seeing from beneath a fringe - which recently led to me trimming it myself even though hairdressers are open now. My Covid restriction practices and excuses for my hair and other aspects of my life seem somehow to still be in place despite things easing - but at least I can see - something usually required for cycling and particularly for tomorrow.

Tomorrow - October 12th, Feast of St Wilfrid, is the day, after all the delays due to Covid, that we finally get to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of St Wilfrid’s centre at a Mass at Mother of God Church. The service booklets are complete, my address is written and cycling to work this morning, I was thinking about how good it will be to meet all the people who have been involved over the past 30 years. OI course there are logistical problems about how to get my frock here on the bike and when I might write tomorrow’s blog but it only seems right that I cycle to the Centre and back on such a day. I’ll try and find a good picture to go with tomorrow’s news and celebrations.
