St Wilfrid’s Centre is a day centre based in Sheffield and is open daily Monday to Friday 10am to 3:30pm to homeless, vulnerable or socially excluded adults aged 18+.
Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers run the centre each day, creating a welcoming, supportive environment where every aspect of our work is focused on improving wellbeing and reducing vulnerability.
We offer a wide range of activities - from pottery and woodwork to gardening and arts and crafts - alongside more structured sessions that help people build confidence, independence, and practical skills, including IT, nutrition, cooking, and employment support.
Our Welfare Workers provide compassionate, one-to-one support tailored to each individual, covering housing, physical and mental health, finances, substance use, employment, and social connections.
We also provide daily hot meals prepared by our in-house chef and served in a friendly dining space. Our café offers drinks and sandwiches throughout the day at a low cost, with free access for those who are rough sleeping or unable to access benefits.
“I come to St Wilfrid’s every day in the week. I love it! I feel it’s like my family… I don’t know what I’d do with myself if I didn’t go to St Wilfrid’s. It gives me somewhere to go & I’ve made friends there. It helps my mental health.”
